NOLA Fashion Week S/S '12 - 10/21 Jolie & Elizabeth
The finale of NOLA Fashion Week's Spring/Summer '12 shows was local favorite, Jolie & Elizabeth. Their runway show was the largest with 34 total looks. With blends of seersucker and cottons, it truly reflected the feminine and flirty look of the traditional Southern girl with a twist. Of course pearls were a must accessory, but their use of floppy, over-sized hats and casual cotton accents updated this classic look.
Unfortunately, the lighting's interaction with my camera made it so that my shots didn't pick up the subtle details and colors in the fabrics, but here are a few shots to get the idea of the silhouettes...perfect for hot, humid Southern summer nights!
Look #17 - Seersucker Carolina on Victoria
Look #25 - Navy Seersucker Jackie on Stephanie
Look #20 - Yellow Maylie on Ainsley

NOLA Fashion Week S/S '12 - 10/21 Amanda deLeon
Let me just say...."WOW" - Amanda deLeon put on an amazing, head-turning, eyebrow-raising show last Friday night for NOLA Fashion Week. And what a runway show it was...words won't really do justice (and neither will my photos probably), but you have to see her spring '12 collection to understand.
I loved her color palette (being more of a fall girl myself, like Amanda) and use of metallics. She incorporated an interesting blend of textiles and LOVED the use of sequins. Here are a few of my favorite looks:
Look #6 - gold rope collar + silver crushed a-line skirt
Look #10 - charcoal grey ridgeback tank + blue silk a-line skirt
Look #14 - ocean charmeuse sack dress with gold and silver chevron studding
*Look #16 - metallic silver sack dress with gold and silver chevron studding
Look #18 - sea foam suede collar with studding +
fringe a-line skirt with sea foam organza overlay
*Look #19 - aqua haze cocoon jacket + metallic gold legging
Look #20 - aqua haze and gunmetal silk top + gold metallic hot shorts
*Look #22 - sea foam dome caplet + gunmetal sequin tap short
*look #23 - grey villain tunic + metallic gold hot short
{Think this is my ultimate FAV look -
I heard the whole room gasp when it came out, so I think it was a crowd-favorite}
Look #26 - sea foam organza studded button up + silver and turquoise hot short
The finale...
Congratulations on an amazing Spring '12 Collection!

NOLA Fashion Week S/S '12 - 10/21 Annie Griffin
Straight out of Atlanta, this design duo that is Annie Griffin, came down to NOLA Fashion Week to show us what they're made of and I believe the crowd liked what they had to say. These two sisters from Memphis have a definite POV with fun and refreshing styles in a wearable, easy color palette. Here are some of my favorite looks:
Look #7 - Maddie dress in Navy Stripes on Keiondra
Look #15 Ansley pastel print dress on Kelcey
Look #18 Lucy blouse in navy/aqua and Patton short in white on Catherine
Look #22 Gracie tank in chartreuse and Patton shorts in organic lilac on Keiondra
